Saints Row is one of premiere game series that lets you play as a woman all the way through. So they have nothing that needs changing. They’ve had several good female characters already.
This is part of a game company’s job now, is to mouth platitudes about “important social issues” and say “our game company is going to address these things!” And then they simply don’t have to, all anyone cares about in society is people saying “we’ll do something!” and then standing around and continuing business as usual.
I just saw it as Jaros saying that Anita has at least one valid point - that women are underrepresented in games, and that he intends to help curb that. Volition has done a fantastic job of it in the past, however.
I don’t think he’s advocating her, just saying that the core reason for her presence is something that should be addressed.
Also, developers saying she’s full of shit publically would be a PR disaster. If anyone’s going to mention her, this is about as negative or dismissive as they’ll get. I think Jaros handled the question well.he’s still wrong, women aren’t underrepresented in games. there is a higher ratio of video games with female characters than there are actual female video game PLAYERS.

unfortunately, the developers themselves will have to stay quiet, because misandry is currently the safest stance to take while anything critical of female misbehavior is instantly labeled as sexist misogynist patriarchal rape culture and equates to career suicide. basically, how a tyrannical dictatorship operates in order to subjugate it’s citizens.
